Satta x adidas
Two adidas Originals classics, the Gazelle and the New York, taken apart and rebuilt in natural and recycled materials. Released as a pack with size? in April 2022.

The concept
A shoe made with nature and designed to return to it. It built on Satta's work with hemp: we stripped both silhouettes back to their components and asked what each part could be made from instead, using the purest material we could source, with as little processing and dyeing as possible.
The story was Satta's own: a balance between city life and the slower rituals of mind and body.
Gazelle
An off-white hemp upper with brown 3-Stripes, a cork heel tab carrying the embroidered Satta spiral, and a gum sole.
Hemp, cork and wool upper. Recycled cotton lining. Cotton and abaca fibre laces. Printed cork footbed. Recycled rubber sole.
New York
Soft grey-blue felted wool panels over the classic runner, a branded cork heel patch, and a lace toggle made from recycled plastic from bottle scraps and ocean waste instead of the usual virgin plastic.

The work
I took both shoes from concept boards through tech packs and sampling to adidas factory approval, then ran the launch with the campaign and film.
The pack dropped on 28 April 2022 on Satta's own site and on 29 April through a size? raffle, in men's and women's sizes.
